Merry Christmas, lets hope its a good one
It's that time of the year when everyone should be able to put their feet up with family and friends and enjoy the festive season. Unfortunately with war and terrorism in Berlin, Aleppo, Mosul, Mexico, just to name a few, and poverty, there are many people in the world where Christmas will not be celebrated. My hope is that 2017 brings less of the negative things we saw so much of in 2016.
To all the parents out there, especially the single parents, I hope the holidays are great with laughter rather than tears (except the inevitable tears when toys break). Try and take a little time for yourself, even if it is in the evenings when your children are on their best behaviour, when they're asleep.
Now is a great time to also think about 2017. You don't need to make resolutions, simply think about where you would like to be this time next year. On that note, I'll leave you this with one of my favourite quotes.
Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?’
‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said the Cat.
‘I don’t much care where—‘said Alice.
‘Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat.
‘--so long as I get SOMEWHERE,’ Alice added as an explanation.
‘Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, ‘if you only walk long enough.’
